Principal

Jim is the Director of Attest Services and Quality Control for Boyum & Barenscheer PLLP. He has over 30 years of experience working in national and regional certified public accounting firms. He has spent most of his career serving non-profit organizations and closely held businesses. 

Jim is a cum laude graduate of the University of Minnesota-Duluth. He joined Boyum & Barenscheer PLLP in 1985 and became a partner on January 1, 1988. He is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, the Minnesota Society of Certified Public Accountants and the AICPA Peer Review Program Report Acceptance Body.
